Jennifer A. Crane joined the law offices of Jean Galloway Ball, PLC, in September of 2007 as a junior associate. Her practice includes estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, and guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer served from 2006 to 2007 as the law clerk to the Honorable Zinora Mitchell-Rankin, associate Judge of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. She worked as a student fellow for both the Alexandria Public Defender's Office from and the Arlington Commonwealth's Attorney Office during her time in law school.
Jennifer was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2006 and the District of Columbia Bar in 2009. She is a certified Guardian ad litem for Incapacitated Adults. Additionally, Jennifer is on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, as well as a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the American Bar Association, and the Virginia Guardianship Association. In the Spring of 2008, Jennifer was named to the Virginia State Bar's Standing Committee on Lawyer Advertising and Solicitation. In April of 2009, Jennifer was appointed to the Virginia State Bar's Committee on Lawyer Malpractice.
Jennifer received her law degree from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2006 and her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude in Theology and History, from Mount St. Mary's University in 2003.
Jennifer's publications include War as its Own Justification, published with Dr. David McCarthy in the Spring 2005 edition of the Journal of Political Theology, and Bombing and Protecting the Innocent in War: Vietnam as a Case Study, in the Spring 2003 edition of the National Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa.
